TSB £600k competition for disruptive digital solutions

The Technology Strategy Board (TSB) has launched an exciting £600k competition to help small businesses turn innovative ideas into new market opportunities.

The competition is inviting ideas for disruptive solutions in four categories: Energy, Digital, Healthcare and Sustainability.

Looking more closely at the Digital criteria, the TSB is looking for proposals that significantly improve the users’ ability to function in the digital world – these could potentially include: interface design, personalization, navigation or technology related learning.

The competition is working to a very short deadline (Thursday 16th Sept) with an unusual first stage – application is via uploading a two minute video pitch to the TSB website.

After initial shortlisting a further process, including expanding the business case and a public pitch, will result in the TSB making 4 awards of up to £100k and 8 of up to £25k.
