Content Across Continents: A co-development initiative in partnership with the Singapore Media Development Authority, linking SW and Singaporean producers to generate multiplatform concepts. Currently underway, investment decisions were made in April, with delivery deadline at end August 2010. Discussions on a second project are now underway.
China / UK Animation link: A programme of activity to generate productive links between the UK and Chinese animation industries, in partnership with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and UK Embassy in Beijing. A visit to Shenzhen and Beijing in May laid the ground and our intention is to hold a UK / China Animation Forum in Beijing in early December 2010.
Bristol City Council Open Data Innovation: A project to catalyse innovation with data released by Bristol City Council to generate new project which combine and re-use existing data and information to find new ways to engage, inform, empower and inspire. The project will be run through iShed (as part of Media Sandbox 2010) over the period June to Nov 2010, with up to 3 development investments of £10k each made under the initiative.
Creative Industries KTN: The CIKTN is the knowledge network for the UK creative sector, seeking to develop and disseminate forward thinking research and information on the future of the creative industries. I am the Global Markets “theme champion” for the CIKTN, acting as journalist, researcher, connector and advocate for the opportunities and potential for international trade enabled by new digital technologies.
